Generation Bar, usually shortened to G-Bar, is a gay bar on Lange Reihe in Hamburg’s St. Georg district, the centre of the city’s gay quarter. The scene nickname for it is Tuntenaquarium, a reference to its large windows onto the busy street. In contrast to that nickname the interior is tidy and architecturally plain. It opens in the early evening on weekdays and from the afternoon at weekends, closing at 02:00.
